Actually costs more than using the 3 year company depreciation/write-off.
When it can be sold to an employee for a couple of quid - and that way the company gets to write-off all the software and support in 1, or 3 years instead of 5.
And - remember that a 4 year old system would be running unsupported software - and probably be too slow for much of the 'current' business systems software.
In short - another exchequer confidence trick.
Stick to buying in years when you are allowed 100% depreciation/write-off
