I sometimes wonder at Apple's tactics. Yes I can see their desire to keep everything 'under their own roof', but really, this (along with quite a few other things) makes them look like they are trying to 'out-Microsoft' Microsoft at the 'who can be the most proprietry and locked-in' games.
