When digital can't keep up the PACE...

One example of how this machine was used was for designing torpedoes and control systems for them.
The PACE TR-48 was set up to model the waves in the sea. The output from it was connected to the sensors on the torpedo that could check whether the torpedo behaved in the expected way without actually using water or losing a torpedo.
