That is exactly what I did. I noticed the downturn in the IT field and moved into being a longshoreman. A field as far removed from the IT industry as you can get. Essentially I am a big equipment operator. I thought this was a safe move and in times of the past, there was more money in the short run in this field than in the IT field.
