IBM has unveiled a new line of ThinkPad notebook computers, aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The 390 range of notebooks, which will cost upwards of $1,799, are less than 2in wide and include a modular bay for second batteries or hard drives. Users can choose either to have either Windows 98 or Windows NT 4 pre-installed.
Peter Rawley, general manager of IBM's Small and Medium Business Division, said the range's "upgradability, service and support" will be a particular attraction to SMEs.
