While many UK SMEs are yet to get to grips with ecommerce, those that have taken the plunge are glad they did.
SME ecommerce software maker, Actinic researched over 400 small businesses to ascertain the level of SME ecommerce adoption.
While the numbers are small - only 14 per cent of retail SMEs currently receive orders online - 76 per cent of those companies not doing it at all have plans to at some stage.
What is most encouraging is that the initial results of the report show that those that are already selling online are meeting and beating their initial expectations. An impressive 59 per cent of web stores claim to be profitable and 71 per cent of these did so within six months.
