What's the surprise? A stretch inside for Italian toy thieves!
Published: 2 August 2001 12:07 BST
Six Italians could face a spell behind bars along with hefty fines after they were arrested for the sale of rare Kinder egg toys over the internet.
The gang, lead by Luca Costantini, who owns a warehouse used to store around £1m worth of stolen plastic toys, used online auction houses like eBay and QXL to offload the property.
Rare Kinder egg toys originating from the early 1980s can sell for well over £350 each and are especially popular with collectors in Germany and Italy.
