A website run by Russian monks has been closed down because of their over-zealous spamming.
The monks of the St Trinity and St Nicholas monastery in Shmakovka sent emails asking for donations to thousands of inboxes.
The monks said they were new to the web and didn't realise they were doing anything wrong.
The monastery's web-hosting service shut the website down after it was flooded with complaints.
The site at http://www.monast.ru has now reopened.
