The Federation Against Software Theft (Fast) is to re-focus itself around small and medium-sized software developers who it says currently aren't getting a look-in when it comes to protecting their code.
The body which polices software piracy said, while it has been successful in tracking down and recovering unlicensed software, the problem is still enormous for SME software makers.
Fast said small software developers who often create highly bespoke programmes are in no position to monitor whether licences are being adhered to. Fast is to offer reduced subscription rates to attract smaller members.
