A number of UK tech companies have picked up gongs for their entrepreneurship.
The Essence of the Entrepreneur awards, run by BT, has chosen the top 20 small businesses in the UK who have been able to use technology to create new opportunities.
The winners included a garden design business, an extreme sports media company and a diet delivery business.
As well as popular websites, including restaurant reservation service Toptable.co.uk and video search engine Blinkx, tech upstarts were also rewarded.
Among the tech entrepreneurs who picked up awards were London company GoinGreen, which sells electric cars, and Hexham-based Bundles Limited, a mortgage auction business.
