Theft is one of the biggest problems facing companies like M & S. Therefore this is a logical first step, nicely disguised. If the technology is proven to be safe and no health issues, then as a law abiding citizen I would have no problem with the scheme being expanded.
I'm looking forward to the fully automated store ofteh future where your personal RFID is captured as you enter the store and all the clothes in your size are automatically brought to the front of the line.
