hi peter
i'm a fan of your writing - keep it up!!

i also loved your last few paragraphs - lionel bloom and thought for the day move over.

there is one thing that i think you miss out which i think does come with time and that is for want of a better word, craftmanship.

the easiest way i have of explaining this is that at school 70% is an A grade. At work 70% is terrible. 95% isn't good enough a lot of the time too. It's a difference in mindset that often takes people years to grasp. Of course there are those who are more predisposed to perfection and even those who have good instincts on what is good enough, but i think that an amateur will practise until they get it right, but a professional will practise until they don't get it wrong and that basically takes practise (and time)

all the best
