Microsoft serves up latest offering for small business
Microsoft has unveiled the latest generation of its Small Business Server 2000 networking program in the UK. The software is designed for companies to monitor and manage networks of 50 or fewer PCs.

According to the software giant, the third version of its small business server includes a multipurpose operating system, remote access, shared applications and improved server performance and reliability.

A recent research project by Microsoft and KPMG claimed the small business market is still nervous of technology. Phil Cotton, head of ebusiness in KPMG's small business team, said many small companies could attract increased financial backing by investing in technology.
